About

The Edit Has a Point of View.

We stopped eating together. Not literally — but somewhere between the algorithm and the 30-second recipe video, the ritual of sitting down with people you actually like and sharing a proper meal got quietly replaced with content.

The After Dinner Edit exists as a pushback against that. This is a blog — deliberately, unapologetically. Long-form reviews instead of star ratings. Recipes with context instead of 15-second clips. Narratives about evenings worth having instead of highlights optimized for engagement.

The goal is simple: to give you something worth reading before, during, and after the planning of a good meal. To make the case that a dinner party, a well-made drink, or a restaurant worth seeking out is one of the best ways to actually connect with the people around you.

Based in Houston. Eating and drinking with intention. Writing about it the long way.
